RISING BUSINESS COSTS AND BREXIT UNCERTAINTY DRIVE GROWTH FOR ORWAK
Orwak Easi UK Ltd., the York based supplier of compaction and baling solutions for solid waste materials at source, is attributing its recent business growth to an increased focus by customers on saving money in the face of Brexit uncertainty and increasing business rates. The company has recently opened a new distribution facility in Willenhall, West Midland, and has added 10 new members of staff since December.
Kerrie Barrow, Sales Director said “Increased business running costs and Brexit uncertainty are making a lot of businesses reassess their operations to identify where they can make operational savings. None of us know with any certainty whether Brexit will be good or bad for business in the UK, however, along with business rates increases it is presenting an incentive to make businesses look at themselves and how they can streamline their operations, which is ultimately a good thing regardless.
“Waste management is one area where businesses face additional increasing costs. Landfill Tax rises every year and the growing cost for disposal are eating away at the bottom line for many businesses that generate a lot of waste. However, with careful planning it is not only possible to reduce waste disposal costs, but actually to generate revenue through recyclable waste. The initial effort and investment to put more efficient waste management processes in place can certainly deliver rewards.”
Orwak has a globally established reputation for designing, innovating and manufacturing superior waste management products including balers and compactors that help businesses reduce waste and save money. Customers of Orwak notice savings on waste management of up to 50%.
The new facility in Willenhall, which opens on 13th March, will enable the company to better service its growing nationwide client base.
